Metroplank Timber Decking
At Mortlock Timber, we have spent over 20 years refining and adjusting the profile and clip design of Metroplank to bring you real timber decking of the highest quality. Metroplank decking is built to last and allows for natural timber movement to a degree that other systems cannot match.
Designed for longevity, Metroplank requires low maintenance to preserve its aesthetic and physical integrity. Nails do not protrude above the surface of the board, nor will they cup, ensuring that your decking is kept safe and secure. Our innovative design allows for natural movement in the timber, helping increase its longevity so that it can be enjoyed for years to come.
Clips act as spacing between boards.
Concealed screw fix install method
Flexible fixing clip allows for natural timber movement
Rust resistant steel fixing clip for maximum hold
Metroplank is a versatile premium timber decking that has been used in both commercial high traffic projects as well as in luxury homes in some of Australia’s most high-profile suburbs.
Our domed top option has been designed for maximum durability in areas that are exposed to weather conditions by encouraging water run off to keep the timber dry and stable. Our flat top option is best for areas that are not exposed to as much weather.

Profile & Sizes
Thanks to its advanced design, Metroplank is faster and more cost-effective to install than conventional decking. It can be installed on timber or steel joists in 90 degree or parallel orientations to a wall or building. Once the edge board has been secured, apply firm pressure downwards on the next board and tap in until it is firmly engaged with the clip. No pre-drilling is required; simply screw directly into the joist to install. Conventional decking requires twice as many screws as Metroplank. The fastening clip in Metroplank only needs one screw but it secures two boards at once, which means savings on screws and labour without compromising on quality.
Yes it is available in a wider board however the board is only available in 30mm thickness as opposed to the 85mm which is available in 20mm and 30mm thickness. The secret fixing is not secure enough for boards wider than 85mm when they are only 20mm thickness.
