About The Project
Bright House Residence is a contemporary timber project set within a lush, tree-lined setting in Victoria. This residence embraces the natural beauty of timber to create a bold yet timeless architectural statement. The exterior is finished in TRENDPLANK 120×18 Shou Sugi Ban Burnt Ash cladding, which delivers a deep, textured look that changes beautifully with the light. The charred surface not only adds character but also improves durability, giving the home a strong and enduring presence in its surroundings.
Extending from the main living areas, the MARINEPLANK 130×20 Dome Top Ironbark decking provides a warm and solid foundation for outdoor living. Ironbark’s natural density and strength make it an idea choice for high-traffic areas, offering both longevity and visual richness.
Throughout the design, 30×20 Spotted Gum battens finished in Cutek Black Ash add a sense of rhythm and connection between interior and exterior spaces. Together, Burn Ash, Ironbark and Spotted Gum create a balanced palette that feels grounded in the landscape while highlighting the craftsmanship and natural variation of each species.
