About The Project
Designed by MODA Builds, the Barwon Heads Residence is a complete whole-house rebuild that balances contemporary living with the warmth and durability of Australian hardwood.
Blackbutt timber was specified for the project for its natural resilience, pale tones and refined grain, making it well suited to both structural and architectural applications.
Externally, Classicplank 135 x 32 Blackbutt decking, supplied pre-oiled in Cutek Clear, provides a robust and visually consistent finish while simplifying installation and long-term maintenance.
Complementing the decking, 40 x 40 dressed Blackbutt pencil round screening, supplied raw, introduces subtle texture and definition. The rounded profile offers a clean architectural detail and allows flexibility in finishing to suite the overall design intent.
