BENEFITS OF USING TULIPWOOD

Tulipwood is great at maintaining its shape and can easily withstand the harsh Australian climate. Because of the thermal process. It is extremely durable and can last up to 40 years. Another benefit is that, unlike other thermally modified timbers, Tulipwood is not laminated. This means that there is no risk of delamination, which are cracks and openings in the timber’s surface. Tulipwood is also resistant to termites and sustainably sourced from Europe.

Applications

Because of its stability and aesthetic charm, Tulipwood is commonly used for exterior timber cladding. Dependent on the level of maintenance, this timber is an excellent option for exterior timber cladding designed to weather off to the natural elements. Tulipwood’s thermal modification process allows the timber to weather off to a silver patina
but remains a strong timber board. The thermally-modified timber is also a suitable option for internal applications on commercial and residential designs where a strong, dark complexion is desired.
